Some Factors You Need to Know About Condenser Motor

Condenser motors are found installed in air conditioning systems that move outdoor air across the condensing coil in outdoor condenser/compressor unit. The air movement across the condensing coil transfers heat to outdoor air and lets high pressure or temperature refrigerant inside the condensing coil to condense from a gas back to a liquid refrigerant.

What’s The Purpose of the Condenser Fan Motor?

The condenser fan motor on the compressor unit comes from the need of transferring heat from the refrigerant system into outdoor air. The refrigerant gas is pumped from the indoor cooling coil through the outdoor compressor motor. As the compressor generates high pressure and temperature refrigerant gas, it needs to flow into the outdoor condensing coil (acting just like a car radiator with finned tubing). As the hot gas flows through the condensing coil, the outdoor condenser fan motor blows outdoor air across the hot condensing coil to cool the gases inside and turns it to liquid state while transferring the heat at the same time.

What’s the Difference Between a Condenser Fan Motor & A Blower Motor?

The blower motor is not an actual fan motor but is a centrifugal pump consisting of a wheel with radial slats spinning inside a housing. Centrifugal force pulls the air from the center out to the edge of the wheel which is why to intake is a pipe to the center of the wheel while output is on the edge. Though the mechanism is somewhat similar, the blower wheel is what create differentiation. Blower motor moves the air around your house. It moves the air across the heat exchanger and the evaporator coil. However, condenser fan motor lets the air flows through the condensing coil to make the hot air blows out across the hot condensing coil.

While going for repair or replacement of the AC parts, you should have at least the basic ideas about the components. You can also ask the motor parts distributor about different AC parts and what’s their role. Getting more information about AC components can let you choose them effectively. So, gather as much information as you can about Emerson motor distributor before you opt for the repair or replacement of the AC parts.

Keep Air Efficiency & Volume Maintained With Help of Fan Blower Control

Picking the accurate fan for the pneumatic system is critical to success. The more complex the air system, the more difficult selecting the accurate industrial fan becomes. Addition of the changeable variable of multiple operators on a given pneumatic conveying system is crucial to let the safety factors of the fan generate preferred or sufficient airflow. So, how can it be achieved? The fan blower controls the discomforts caused by ridiculous on or off part-time heating and air conditioning.

Running the fan blower control continuously at low speed will result in continual air scrubbing in the installed areas. When the heating or cooling needs it, the fan shifts automatically to high speed. If your heating system or air conditioner system fan blower unit was designed to permit the fan to run all of the time that’s great and you can consider the benefits of continuous fan operation.

Advantages of Continuous Fan Blower Control:

-          -   Improves Air Filtration & Lowers Dust Level: Indeed it’s true! If you have a strong fan blower control, then you probably have ensured heavy duty cycle to improve air filtration. It also helps lowering the dust level.

-      -  Increases comfortability: If the system has a multi-speed or variable speed fan motor, the continual movement of air in the building avoids sudden cold or hot blasts when heating or air conditioning turns on; indoor air temperatures tend to be more even.

Change the fan blower from time to time to keep its efficiency maintained which in turn give you longevity of the product.
