The
tangible parts of your home air conditioning system give you a way to
distribute air and regulate the temperatures in your home, but they have
nothing to do with producing hot/cool air. You can see the grilles from inside
your home, and you probably adjust the thermostat from time to time, but there
is much more to your system than you can see. The home air conditioning parts that
are involved in producing heat or cool air for your home include these:
- Heat exchanger
- Furnace
- Blower
- Exhaust
- Evaporator
The
furnace is where all of the action takes place, concealing the working
components of your heating system. In a large metal carton located in your attic,
basement or closet, your furnace serves as a central command post that directs
and coordinates the system’s components. A furnace serves many purposes for
industry, but the function of a forced air unit in your home is convert cold
air into warm or vice versa by using gas or electricity. The heat exchanger
inside the furnace warms air when it is needed, using a burner in gas systems
or coils in those that use electric power. When air reaches the proper
temperature, the blower (one of the home air conditioning parts in the system) sends
warm air into your duct system for distribution to rooms through vent grilles. The
exhaust system performs a vital function of releasing gases into the outdoors,
and draft hoods allow the safe release of carbon monoxide. Maintaining your home
air conditioning parts of the system can extend its lifetime.
In
most of the home air conditioning system, the evaporator is located inside the
top of the system and made of many coils. Refrigerant enters the evaporator from
the condenser in its cool, liquid form. Once the liquid refrigerant enters the
evaporator, it is met with low pressure. Because of this low pressure, the
liquid refrigerant turns into gas then it absorbs heat from the air surrounding
it. This absorption of heat; therefore, cools the inside of your home. From
here, the gas refrigerant returns to the condenser to repeat its cycle.
Keeping
these home air conditioning parts well-maintained will don’t allow you to spent
high bucks on the repair section or don’t think of replacing the total home air
conditioning system. Time-to-time maintenance is all these home air
conditioning parts need for better performance.
